I'm running WRT1900ACS v1 as an OpenVPN server, to use with my Android phones away from home, using DD-WRT KONG version 24 Jun 16 r30015, works great for me. The Linksys OpenVPN is easy to setup but I could never make the config changes necessary to get on my LAN then out to the internet. Good luck.
